About Forthwith
Greetings, traveler from across the vast internet. I am Forthwith. I have a PhD in Computer Science and undergraduate degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics. You may reasonably suspect that I enjoy theory work, and you would be right, though teaching is enjoyable as well. Most of the research I do lies in the field of molecular computation or randomness/dimension.

If you've read, well, more or less anything I've written outside acaedmia, you can probably guess my favorite genre is science fantasy. Like conventional science fiction, I strive to create fully self-consistent worlds one can reason about both inductively and deductively using their own internal rules and logic. The realm of fantasy, on the other hand, lets us explore strange and exotic worlds far removed from our own.
I lean heavily toward the hard end of the science fiction spectrum (although in the context of a fantasy world). I like science, and I like math. No further justification needed. Not everything has to be so colored for me to write it, of course, but you'll never see me write (for example) a villain without at least an elementary understanding of statistics. Unless they're stupid evil for some reason, but meh.
Well anyway, I enjoy writing, whether it be for research papers, proofs, not grant proposals, dialogue, or a general narrative. Writing is my hobby at minimum, and I'm sticking to it.
